The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, claims he was followed around Bolton town centre by two men - on another motorcycle - who tried to pull him off the back of his bike.
The Farnworth man, who wished not to be named, says he did not know the men and was left terrified after the ordeal on Saturday afternoon, which lasted around 40 minutes.
He told the Manchester Evening News : "I was just riding to go to the shops and I was on Topp Way in Bolton just approaching the lights.
