A thug who punched a delivery driver and tried to steal his car ran away when he heard the words: “I know you”. Jamie Lalley attacked the driver as he returned to his car while on Saturday night delivery rounds for a takeaway in east Manchester.
Lalley, 19, approached the victim as he unlocked the car and punched him once to the face, breaking his jaw in two places. When the delivery driver fell to the ground, Lalley picked up the key and entered the victim’s 15-year-old Toyota Yaris.
The victim looked through the window and realised he recognised Lalley as a customer. He said: “I know you”, prompting Lalley to get out of the car and flee on foot.
