Two men and a teenage boy have been stabbed in two separate incidents on the streets of Manchester. A 20-year-old male and a child, aged 16, were seriously injured in Longsight last night (February 4).
It came hours after a man in his 40s was taken to hospital after what the Manchester Evening News understands was another stabbing outside a school in Moss Side.
Police were called to the incident near Rushford Street and Purcell Street in the Longsight area shortly before 7pm. Witnesses reported seeing a 'fight' in the street before the knife attack.
Both the 16 and 20-year-old were found with stab injuries at the scene. A major investigation to trace the suspects has now been launched with Greater Manchester Police saying last night that they were following 'several lines of enquiry' to establish the timeline of events.
