Arsenal are still pushing to sign a central midfielder before the January transfer window closes on Monday night with moves for three players still hanging in the balance.

The Gunners' midfield has been decimated by players leaving for the Africa Cup of Nations, positive Covid-19 tests, as well as a couple of red cards and the club has failed to pick up a single win in January.Manager Mikel Arteta has been desperate to add reinforcements to the centre of the park, particularly after allowing Ainsley Maitland-Niles to leave on loan for Roma, but hasn't managed to get anything over the line yet.Moves for Juventus midfielder Arthur, Lyon's Bruno Guimaraes and Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz are still possible, but time is running out.The Guimaraes deal looks unlikeliest following reports that he's set to join Newcastle United for £30 million, but there's still a chance of Arsenal landing one of their other targets before February 1.Arthur looked set for a move to north London earlier this month but the deal stalled due to disagreements between the two clubs about the length of the agreement.Edu, Arsenal's technical director, recently presented an 18-month loan proposal with a €40 million buy option to the club's hierarchy, but they weren't all that keen on it.Of the three midfielders, which do you think Arsenal should sign?
