Eight people were treated by paramedics following the crash close to junction 5, at Didsbury, on Saturday afternoon (April 11).
Ten vehicles were involved in the collision - which happened at around 5.30pm on the clockwise carriageway between junction 4 and 5.
Emergency crews attended and Highways England officers closed the road for more than two hours. One casualty had to be rescued by fire crews and four people were taken to hospital by ambulance following the incident.
