Thousands of people battling eating disorders have been refused NHS treatment in lockdown because their BMI is too HIGH, campaigners claim.
They say sufferers are being told they are “not thin enough” to access funded support – and some are even given lower weight “targets” to qualify.
Yet NICE guidelines urge clinicians to look at a range of factors when deciding on treatment – not just “single measures” like weight.
