A persistent thief has been banned from Widnes, Warrington and every Morrisons supermarket in the country. Sharon Rooney committed a number of offences targeting elderly women at shops across Widnes, Warrington and St Helens.
The 49-year-old, of Haydock, Merseyside, was given a 16-month custodial sentence suspended for two years at Liverpool Crown Court for stealing purses and fraudulently using stolen bank cards.
Rooney admitted 13 counts of theft from a person and 30 counts of fraud.
