This Morning viewers were left heartbroken as two brave paramedics relived the moment they were stabbed by someone they were trying to help.

Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were both seen getting emotional as they spoke to Deena Evans and Mick Hipgrave, who last year were left fighting for their lives when they were stabbed.

Responding to a 999 call, the pair were attacked with kitchen knives when they entered a home in Wolverhampton. Deena was stabbed first in the stomach, with Mick jumping in to protect her and getting stabbed in the back.

The attack just took 11 seconds, but Deena was seen in tears as she told Ruth and Eamonn she was convinced she was going to die. “I remember Mick helping to stem the bleeding, even though I could feel.
