This Morning star named as surprise host of the EE BAFTAs

THIS Morning’s Alison Hammond has landed her biggest job yet - co-hosting the 2023 EE BAFTAs. Bosses of the posh black-tie event are hoping the former Big Brother hopeful turned daytime TV national treasure will add fresh interest into the evening amid tumbling ratings globally for award shows across the board.

In the most radical shake-up of the BAFTAs in their 75 year history, the BBC One broadcast will be split between the main ceremony hosted by British acting legend Richard E.

Grant and a brand new backstage BAFTA studio which Alison will head up. In a move away from the seemingly never ending list of awards, for the first time ever just the final four awards will be broadcast live.

Chatting about landing the gig, Brummy Alison said: “I'm so excited to be hosting at this year's EE BAFTA Film Awards with THE Richard E.
