He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

This Morning’s Phillip Schofield apologises for laughing at guest with bizarre custard phobia as she retches in horror

THIS Morning's Phillip Schofield was forced to apologise to a guest who retched every time custard was mentioned. The host, 59, burst out laughing as the caller heaved in horror every time the gloopy dessert sauce was mentioned.

In fact, the hosts took to calling it "yellow stuff" because Michelle couldn't even handle hearing the word. But Eva Speakman told her: "I see both you and the custard as equal victims here" at which she loudly retched.

Phillip was then seen covering his mouth to stop himself from cracking up. Unable to help himself he and co-host Rochelle Humes, who is filling in while Holly Willoughby is away, was seen howling with laughter.

The guest then retched several times more saying: "Ooh it's making me sweat even thinking about it." Phillip told her at the end of the call: "Listen, I am so so sorry Michelle for laughing.
