Holly Willoughby was left red-faced after becoming confused during a cooking segment on This Morning.The presenter and co-host Phillip Schofield welcomed Jun Tanaka, 50, on today's show (June 22) for a cooking segment.While the chef was cooking his one-pot summer lamb, he started explaining to the Dancing On Ice presenter the steps to take to reduce the sauce in the dish.The American-born Japanese-British television chef said: "Take the lid off, and it helps reduce the sauce down and intensifies the flavour."Believing he meant taking it out of the oven completely, an intrigued Holly asked: "But how does it reduce the sauce, just because it steams away?""Yeah because if you take the lid off it reduces down slightly and starts to caramelise on the top and so thickens it up," the 50-year-old explained."How clever is that!
I would never think to do that!" Holly exclaimed.What, reducing a sauce? a baffled Phil asked. Holly informed him: "No but leaving it off the hob to reduce on its own, because you would reduce it on the hob but he said you just put it on the side.

"Oh", a shocked Holly exclaimed as she giggled: "I thought you said leave it on the side!""I'd have gone home and been like, 'just leave it on the side, it does it itself, it's magic'!" she joked as a stunned Phil put his head in hands.
