Phillip Bryan Schofield (born 1 April 1962) is an English television presenter who works for ITV. He is currently the co-presenter of This Morning (2002–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2014, 2018–present) alongside Holly Willoughby. His other work for ITV includes All Star Mr & Mrs (2008–2016), The Cube (2009–2015), and 5 Gold Rings (2017–present). Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

THIS Morning has been pulled off air as Prime Minister Boris Johnson prepares to deliver his resignation statement. Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield gracefully gave way to ITV cameras outside Number 10 where Robert Peston talked through the recent political chaos while waiting for Boris to emerge.

This Morning nearly made it to the end of its festival themed special broadcast live from a forest, but with 15 minutes to go all eyes turned to Downing Street.

Beleaguered Boris has finally caved in to immense pressure from Tory MPs who have lost faith in his leadership. In a fatal blow to his political career, Boris suffered the highest number of government resignations of any Prime Minister in 90 years.

Over a brutal three day period, more than 50 government members have stood down from their posts. The tidal wave of resignations has been described as a Westminster bloodbath.
