Across Super League, clubs are in the process of retaining their off-contract players. St Helens are no different. In recent weeks they've tied down Alex Walmsley, Jonny Lomax and Josh Simm to new long-term deals.
But one player whose future isn't as clear at this stage is Theo Fages. While talks with the likes of James Bentley and Regan Grace, two other major players off-contract, are thought to be underway, it's unknown whether any talks have taken place with Fages at this stage.
It's an interesting development given Fages' stature in the team and the fact he will be able to speak to rival clubs from May 1st if his future isn't tied up before then.
