The Queen has put on a brave face as she returned to work for the first time since her husband Prince Philip's funeral. The 95 year old was seen via video from Windsor Castle as she carried out royal duties, welcoming dignitaries to Buckingham Palace.

She seemed in high spirits, beaming during the virtual audience to receive Her Excellency Ivita Burmistre, the Ambassador of Latvia.
