The legendary Western outlaws known as the Dalton Gang have long been a subject of popular culture. But despite their criminal misdeeds, they deserve better treatment than the new "horror/Western" directed by Aaron B.

Koontz (Camera Obscura), in which a heavily fictionalized version of the gang fight for their lives against a coven of witches.

Prefaced by an Edgar Allan Poe quote that gives the film its title and proves the scariest thing about it, The Pale Door represents yet another stylistic mash-up that ends up less than the sum of its parts.

50 Cent to produce movie based on DC’s ‘Xerø’ comics

50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) is set to make his move into superhero cinema, with the rapper-come-media mogul signing on to produce at least one film based on DC’s Xerø comics.Deadline reports that Jackson will steer the project through his production company, G-Unit Film & Television, in tandem with Color Farm Media’s Erika Alexander and Ben Arnon. Xerø creator Christopher Priest is also linked to the project, with Joseph Illidge – CEO of production and publishing company Illuminous – rounding out the production team. Notable is that the Xerø film will be a wholly independent production, with neither DC nor WarnerMedia involved in the project.
