Sign up to FREE email alerts from the Northern Agenda Voters in Greater Manchester have taken to the polls in the local council elections.
The election on Thursday, May 6 comes after being postponed last year due to coronavirus. It allowed the people in Bury, Bolton, Oldham, Manchester, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan to have a say on who they think should run their local public services.
This includes things such as schools, libraries, and bin collections. Stations were open from 7am until 10pm, with the count taking place at different times across the region.
