Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen has suggested Erling Haaland may be swayed by the recent arrival of Ralf Rangnick when deciding who he may turn out for next season.
Meulensteen, currently assistant manager with the Australian national team, believes that due to Rangnick's close ties with the Haaland family, he could be persuaded to join United in their ongoing transfer pursuit.
Haaland, who is expected to move away from Borussia Dortmund this summer, as a whole host of clubs are closely monitoring his current situation with his release clause firmly set at a relatively cheap price of £68 million.
