Originally, when Luke Skywalker made an appearance at the end of “The Mandalorian” season two finale he was played by actor Mark Hamill with digital alterations to de-age to a post-“Star Wars: Return of The Jedi” version of the Jedi hero.
However, the look of the character was unsettling. It appeared Lucasfilm had figured out how to fix some of those issues when Skywalker made his triumphant return in an episode of “The Book of Boba Fett,” where it seemed that the on-set performance was completely replaced by body double actor Graham Hamilton and Hamill wasn’t involved.
