Scotland produced the best performance of the Steve Clarke era at Wembley. It may have ended goalless but this was no backs to the wall job, this was an intelligent tactical performance with no little quality as the visitors controlled the game without controlling the ball.There was not a player on the park who didn't deserve credit, with Grant Hanley a rock at the back and Lyndon Dykes running his heart out up front.
Manager Clarke gets huge credit too, with the performance reminiscent of the ones that saw his Kilmarnock team give Rangers and Celtic a bloody nose on numerous occasions, and with better finishing in key moments Scotland could have won.
