Tess Dalyis arguably the golden girl of Saturday night television - and Sunday nights too. Stockport-born Tess started her TV presenting career in 2001, and has since hosted hit shows from Sport Relief to SMTV Live to Strictly Come Dancing.She began presenting the popular dancing show on BBC One in 2004 alongside Bruce Forsyth and now Claudia Winkleman, which sees her entertain huge audiences (frequently over 10 million). The 53-year-old star even has a few acting nods under her belt, including a stint on EastEnders.Prior to her successful television career, Tess started off as a model after being scouted outside of a McDonald's restaurant with her sister Karen in Manchester.Tess, who's birth name is actually Helen Daly, had to change her name due to another model already having the same one.

And six weeks after turning 18, she landed her first professional modelling job in Tokyo - and continued to be a part of many successful projects.Television personality Tess found further fame in 1990, when she starred in the music video for new wave band Duran Duran's single Serious, from their album Liberty.In the music video, blonde Tess can be seen in a variety of stunning looks including little black dresses.She can also be seen singing along to Serious, behind members including Nick Rhodes.Not content with popping up Duran Duran videos, Tess also featured in the Sweet Harmony music video for electro dance band The Beloved in.
