The Stretford Extra branch on Chester Road was forced to close for a number of hours on Saturday morning (January 16) so that a thorough clean of the store could take place.It comes after a number of staff members at the store were confirmed to be off work self-isolating.Shoppers reported being turned away by members of staff in the car park, as they arrived to do their weekend shop.Tesco have now confirmed that the store has is open again to the public following a 'temporary closure.'They stated the reason for the closure was to carry out a deep clean of the premises, and to ensure that staff could be.
