Tesco has been outed as the worst supermarket for food safety in the UK. According to a report named 'Spilling the Beans' by Essential Living, the supermarket giant was subject to 148 reports of food poisoning and recalls.
The report ranked six of the UK's largest supermarket brands based on the freshness of their products, according to Hull Live.
Essential Living used data from the FSA and iwaspoisoned.com to compile the results. Other supermarkets included in the report were Waitrose, Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons.Waitrose was found to have the least amount of reports of food poisoning but has had the most items that have been recalls in the past year.
