The offender, estimated to be in his late 50s, threatened the victim before she was able to run towards the Tesco store on Broughton Road.The suspect is thought to have ran in the opposite direction following the incident, towards Warriston Road.
The woman did not sustain any injuries, however she was 'badly shaken' by the ordeal that occurred around 8:45pm, according to police.
