A terrified mum fled a shooting outside a Glasgow newsagent and hid with her two children as a bloodbath unfolded in the street.

The woman had left the Day-Today convenience store in Ladymuir Crescent, Pollok, when four masked thugs armed appeared with machetes at 8pm on Sunday night.

Four gunshots were fired by the balaclava-clad assailants before the group set upon two men, understood to be the shopkeeper and his brother.

The 35-year-old victim was not struck by any bullets but was injured by a bladed weapon.The frightened eyewitness told the Record how she hid in a garden nearby after fleeing the scene with her 11-year-old son and eight-month-old daughter.
