Teenager charged with string of offences after lengthy police chase

Leigh to Bolton. According to police, the car was first spotted 'acting suspiciously', in Leigh, at around 11.30am yesterday (Sunday February 28).

Officers said that the car then sped off towards Atherton, before driving through Little Hulton and Farnworth. The car was finally abandoned in Leverhulme Avenue, Great Lever, police said.

With help from police dogs, officers eventually found a 17-year-old boy, from Bolton, and arrested him. The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with driving whilst disqualified, breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving without insurance.He has been remanded in custody.
