Russian teens from Siberia have been handed criminal sentences after allegedly plotting to blow up an ex-KBG building using Minecraft.

The boys were investigated after posting political leaflets on the real-world FSB building, calling it a 'terrorist' organisation and praising an anarchist who spent six years in prison for 'hooliganism' after throwing a smoke bomb inside it.

Police claim to have recovered smartphone videos of the boys playing with Molotov cocktails and even footage of them plotting to blow up a Minecraft version of the FSB building, Russia's main security agency and the successor to the KGB.On Thursday the Eastern Military Court in Krasnoyarsk found Nikita Uvarov, Denis Mikhailenko and Bodan Andreyev guilty of “undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities”.One of the boys, Uvarov, now faces five years in a Siberian penal colony after pleading innocent.

Meanwhile, his two friends will spend three and four years in prison respectively, after pleading guilty to the terrorist training charges.
