Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Teen drops to death climbing wall he didn't realise was 20ft on spring break trip

teenager fell to his death from a height of 20 feet while on a spring break trip with his university friends.Aiden Nevarez, 18 and from the US, climbed over a short wall with a dramatic drop on the other side.The first-year student from Arizona State University fell to his death in the early morning hours of March 7 at the Hotel Riu Santa Fe in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.His friends who witnessed the horror accident described the wall as being a small barrier hidden behind palm trees which disguised the 20ft drop on the other side.Jake Reithinger, 19, who was with Aiden said: "It almost looks like it's just a shrub or a bush and the little wall that's there is about knee height." His heartbroken parents told the Arizona Republic that changes such as better signage or a higher wall need to be made in light of their son's unexpected death.

His distraught mother Sayra Nevarez said: "This can't happen to anyone else - it's completely senseless."We love him so much and we're going to miss him until we see him again."I know wherever he's at right now, he's going to conquer because that's who Aiden was."Aiden, a former wrestler at Pinnacle High School, graduated from there in 2021 an was studying business at university.Jack Fitzgerald, who was also on the trip, said: "He was the happiest, most genuine kid that I knew."He was so loved, everybody loved Aiden."Just a day before his death, Jack recalled how happy Aiden was about the trip and life in general.He shared that the group were at a restaurant at around midnight and "out of nowhere" Aiden put his arm around him and told him he loved him.Jack said: "That was such a special moment."According to his death certificate Aiden's tragic death was ruled an accident.More than $100,000.
