A teenager died from hypothermia after falling asleep in the cold at beauty spot, an inquest has heard. Tragic Lyndon Turner, 19, an apprentice window fitter from Ascot, was found near Chobham Common in Surrey on the afternoon of December 2, 2020.
Passers-by called 999, telling operators they did not know Lyndon, but had seen him a few times in the same location. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, who arrived at the scene shortly before 5.10pm, he was confirmed dead shortly before 6pm, Surrey Live reports.
At an inquest at Woking Coroner's Court yesterday, assistant coroner Karen Henderson said that the teen's father had told him he was not welcome to stay at the house, thinking he had friends to stay with.
