Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Britta Thomason showed off the handwritten note and a box of special merchandise straight from Taylor Swift on social media to share her excitement with her fellow Swifties.

Sharing photos of the note and a video of herself opening the box on Facebook, Thomason expressed her excitement as she opened a package from her favourite artist. "Don't mind me...I'll be crying the rest of the day," Thomason wrote, saying she never expected to be a fan lucky enough to receive a gift like this one. "I can't read it because I'm gonna cry," she said as she saw Swift's.
