TLC have cancelled two shows after Tionne Watkins (a.k.a T-Boz) was hospitalised.READ MORE: TLC live at Glastonbury 2022: A ’90s nostalgia trip with too many dance detoursThe group, named the best-selling American girl-group of all time, are currently on tour in North America, but dates were briefly halted after Watkins suffered a medical emergency on Friday (August 23).A statement from the group says the singer experienced “sudden and severe nausea, vomiting and intense abdominal cramps,” upon arriving in Syracuse, New York, for a performance at the New York State Fair.Watkins was later hospitalised and diagnosed with “severe abdominal blockage”, leading to the cancellations of two New England shows scheduled for this week.A post shared by T-Boz (@therealtboz)The statement continued: “[Watkins] remains in the hospital under medical supervision but is expected to be released tomorrow [August 25].”T-Boz later announced she was “on the mend” in her own Instagram statement, and that the band would try to reschedule the cancelled shows.“This was just one of those unexpected things that I had no control over!” she penned. “I look forward to making it up 2 you all… And hopefully I’ll get out of the hospital soon! As soon as tomorrow if all goes well! Thank you for understanding… Blessings always, T.”Since the death of member Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopes in 2002, the group is now comprised of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.
