ENHYPEN have announced their upcoming 2024 to 2025 ‘Walk The Line’ world tour, currently featuring concerts in South Korea and Japan.Today (September 2), ENHYPEN and their label Belift Lab announced the first batch of concerts for their upcoming 2024 to 2025 world tour, titled ‘Walk The Line’. The world tour will mark the third in the band’s career, with the previously, the 2023 to 2024 ‘Fate’ tour, having only concluded last month.The seven-piece will kick off their 2024 to 2025 ‘Walk The Line’ world tour with two shows in October at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in South Korea.

Megan Thee Stallion has announced her new single, ‘Neva Play’, featuring RM of K-pop boyband BTS.Last night, the ‘Mamushi’ rapper took to social media to officially announce ‘Neva Play’, which had first been teased over the weekend. ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin has claimed that an offer from HYBE, which owns the K-pop agency, to continue producing for NewJeans is “unreasonable” in a new statement.Today (August 30), Min Hee-jin released a statement saying that she would not be signing a contract offered to her by HYBE that would allow her to continue producing for NewJeans, claiming that the terms of the contract are “unreasonable”.The contract offered to Min allegedly would retain the ex-ADOR CEO to produce for the girl group from August 27 to November 1. The music executive has claimed that “it is unrealistic to expect the successful completion of crucial production tasks, such as preparing for NewJeans’ world tour in 2025, under such a short-term contract”, per The Korea Herald.Min has also claimed that the proposed contract contains “harmful” clauses not found in other contracts issued by ADOR or its parent company, HYBE.

LE SSERAFIM have dropped a music video for their new single ‘Crazy’, the title track of their new mini-album.Set against blue-toned backdrops of bathhouses and aquariums, the music video for LE SSERAFIM’s ‘Crazy’ features striking choreography with elements of voguing set against the song’s dance house-inspired instrumentation.“All the girls are girling, girling / All the girly girls,” the girl group chant on the chorus of ‘Crazy’. ADOR, home to girl group NewJeans.According to news reports today (August 27) by South Korean media – including Korea JoongAng Daily, Yonhap News Agency and Hankook Ilbo – ADOR announced in a statement that Min Hee-jin will step down as the K-pop agency’s CEO.Min, who has been in a protracted feud with HYBE over control of ADOR in the past several months, will reportedly keep her position on the K-pop agency’s board of director. Additionally, the music executive will also continue to produce music for NewJeans.Per Yonhap, Min’s resignation was announced during an ADOR board meeting today.

ADOR.Earlier today (August 27), ADOR announced in a statement that Min Hee-jin had stepped down as the CEO of the K-pop agency, which is notably home to popular girl group NewJeans. Tomorrow X Together (TXT) members Taehyun and Hueningkai have opened up about their close friendship.In a recent interview for the September issue of Elle Korea, the two K-pop singers spoke about their friendship and their fans’ love for their dynamic. BTS members Jungkook and V – through their label Big Hit Music – have filed a ₩90million (almost £52,000) lawsuit against infamous Korean YouTube channel Sojang, for damages from alleged defamation and slander.According to Star News, who was among the first to break the news on August 16, the lawsuit was filed against the anonymised owner of Sojang in March, with its first hearing scheduled for August 23, months after it was first brought to the court’s attention. Big Hit Music has made its commitment to taking legal action against malicious commenters public for several years, however only first directly mentioned Sojang in a statement in June 2023.“In 2022, we sued Sojang for defamation and obstruction of business, however later received a decision from the court to suspend the investigation.

BTS’s Suga.The BTS rapper was recently booked by South Korean police for allegedly driving an electronic scooter while inebriated beyond the legal limit. He was eventually charged for violating he Road Traffic Act and is currently under investigation. Following the booking, both Suga and his label Big Hit Music issued separate apology statements.

SEVENTEEN members Jeonghan and Jun will not be participating in the group’s upcoming 2024 ‘Right Here’ world tour.Yesterday (August 12), Pledis Entertainment announced in a statement on Weverse that SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and Jun will be absent during several activities during the second half of 2024, including their ‘Right Here’ world tour’, due to other obligations.Jeonghan is set to “fulfill his military obligation in the second half of 2024”, the agency announced, saying that the singer has “already filmed as much content as he could in advance”. HYBE, YG, SM and JYP Entertainment have reportedly been fined by the Fair Trade Commission (FTC) in South Korea for breaches its regulations after their stringent retail policies were investigated.According to TenAsia, he FTC announced on August 11 that it had imposed corrective orders and fines amounting KRW10.5million (approximately £5716.71) on the official retail branches of HYBE, YG, SM and JYP Entertainment: Weverse Company, YG Plus, SM Brand Marketing and JYP Three Sixty, respectively.The companies being subject to FTC’s sanctions all operate the official online retail centres for the K-pop industry’s four biggest players. According to the commission, all four companies were found to have “arbitrarily shortened the period where customers are able to get refunds on idol-related merchandise”, including albums, which it deemed a breach of its regulations.Examples of some violations include SM’s policy of having any product refunded for simple change of mind arrive at its logistics centre within seven business days of its original delivery date, despite the law stating that customers have the right to seven days from the time it was received to decide on a return.Additionally, Weverse, SM and JYP all have a policy where they would not offer compensation for lost items after 30 days from when it was shipped, despite the law permitting monetary claims within three months of purchase, among others.In response to the results of FTC’s investigation, all four companies were quick to conduct voluntary policy correction where appropriate, which allowed their fines to be reduced.
