Fontaines D.C. have shared a new video for their track ‘Roman Holiday’, in which they recreate a ‘70s heist movie – scroll down the page to watch it now.The track is taken from the band’s latest album ‘Skinty Fia’, which arrived in April and topped the charts in the UK and Ireland.In the video, which was directed by Sam Taylor, Fontaines take on new monikers, including frontman Grian Chatten’s Marty “Stir” Crazy and guitarist Conor Curley’s David Leatherman.

Fontaines D.C. have shared their NPR Tiny Desk Concert, filmed on their recent tour of North America and featuring renditions of songs from their latest album ‘Skinty Fia’.The video, released yesterday (May 17), was filmed inside the Irish American Heritage Center in Chicago.

Fontaines D.C. performed three tracks during an appearance on CBS Saturday Morning over the weekend (April 30) – check out the videos below.The Dublin band played live renditions of one track from each of their three studio albums – ‘Liberty Belle’ from ‘Dogrel’ (2019), ‘Oh Such A Spring’ from ‘A Hero’s Death’ (2020) and ‘Jackie Down The Line’, which features on their recent record ‘Skinty Fia’.For their latest US TV outing, Fontaines D.C. recorded the performance in a minimal black studio space.It came after the group recently appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers while out on their 2022 North American headline tour, which wraps up in Los Angeles on May 19.

Fontaines D.C. have scored their first Number One album in the UK and Ireland with their third record, ‘Skinty Fia’.The album, which was released last week (April 22), follows the Dublin band’s previous two efforts – 2019’s ‘Dogrel’ and 2020’s ‘A Hero’s Death’ – landing in the Top 10.‘Skinty Fia’ outsold the band’s closest competition in the Official UK Albums Chart, Ed Sheeran’s ‘=’, two-to-one.

Fontaines DC have cancelled tonight’s (April 25) show in Boston, Massachusetts, after vocalist Grian Chatten was diagnosed with laryngitis.The Irish band is currently on a run of sold-out or upgraded US shows, and were meant to play at the Paradise Rock Club, before headlining two dates at New York City’s Brooklyn Steel on April 26 and 27. As of now, those shows are still set to happen.“Unfortunately Grian has been diagnosed with laryngitis and has been advised to rest his voice for a few days,” the band shared on Twitter.They continued: “Therefore sadly the show at Paradise Rock Club in Boston tonight won’t be going ahead.

Fontaines D.C. have opened up about working with Slowthai in a new interview, praising his “incendiary quality.”Speaking to NME for this week’s Big Read, the band were asked about working with the  Northampton rapper after a video emerged of Fontaines D.C.

Fontaines D.C. have said that the future of the band could see them moving away from using guitars completely.Speaking to NME for this week’s Big Read, vocalist Grian Chatten and drummer Tom Coll discussed the creation of the band’s new album ‘Skinty Fia’, which was recorded live to tape over a two-week period.“Whenever I have an idea for a tune, it doesn’t necessarily exist in a world of guitars and drums, even though those are the tools that we have to express ourselves with,” Chatten said.

Fontaines D.C. have shared a brand new single called ‘Roman Holiday’ – listen to the track below.The song is the fourth to be lifted from the Irish band’s upcoming new album, ‘Skinty Fia’, which is set for release on Friday (April 22) via Partisan Records, following previous singles ‘I Love You’, ‘Jackie Down The Line’ and the album’s title track.‘Roman Holiday’ hears frontman Grian Chatten reflect on his experiences of moving to London and what it was like embracing the city as an Irish person.“‘Roman Holiday’ makes me think of the wide streets of North London in the summer and the urge to discover them at night time,” Chatten said of the song.

Fontaines D.C. are launching a scholarship at the BIMM Institute in Dublin, where the band’s members all met while studying music.The scholarship will cover course fees for the full four-year-duration of a student to complete a BA (Hons) Commercial Modern Music degree, worth €12,000.

Fontaines D.C. are gearing up to perform a free show in Dublin for St Patrick’s Day.Set to take place at The Complex in Dublin this Thursday (March 17), the show, which will also be live-streamed, will see the five-piece premiere tracks from their upcoming third album ‘Skinty Fia’, which is due to arrive next month.The event, put on in collaboration with whiskey brand Jameson, will also include a short film about the band’s Dublin roots, looking at their formative years.“This St. Patricks Day, we’ll be doing a live stream with @jamesonwhiskey from Dublin, to you, wherever you are,” Fontaines D.C.

Fontaines D.C. frontman Grian Chatten has discussed working with Kae Tempest on their upcoming album ‘The Line Is A Curve’.Chatten and his band were speaking on the red carpet at last night’s (March 2) BandLab NME Awards 2022, where they later picked up the award for Best Band In The World.After NME referenced the pair’s recent studio time with Slowthai, Fontaines were asked if any other new collaborations were on the way, with Chatten then confirming that he’s contributed two songs to Tempest’s ‘The Line Is A Curve’, which is due out next month.“I did a few tunes and they’re gonna be on their new album,” Chatten told NME.
