A suspected knifeman has been shot by Swedish police after eight people were injured in a suspected terror incident. A man in his 20s is said to have attacked several people in central Vetlanda in the south of the country just before 2pm GMT.
Police shot the man, thought to be wielding a knife, before arresting him. Initial reports that four people had been injured were revised up to eight.
No one is thought to have died in the attack. The arrested man was taken to hospital where he is being guarded by police. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening, police have said.
