EXCLUSIVE: Netflix is heading back to the wilderness. The streamer has renewed Outlast, which comes from executive producer Jason Bateman, for a third season.
It comes after the second season, which consisted of eight episodes, premiered in September. Deadline understands that the survival competition series is currently filming its third season.
Season one was shot near the Neka River on Chichagof Island, Alaska, while the second season was filmed at Little Duncan Bay, south of Petersburg, Alaska.
The series features 16 lone wolf experts, who are dropped in the wilderness and must outlast each other in a battle for a million-dollar payout.
