The Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, has agreed to bring in a series of measures to help those area affected by the rise in the Delta variant, first identified in India.
This includes all 10 Greater Manchester boroughs, as well as in all Lancashire County Council Council areas. The extra help will include military-supported surge testing, tracing, isolation support, and maximising vaccine uptake will also be deployed rapidly across our region.
