Supermarkets may be forced to ration food this Christmas period amidst the ongoing lorry and shipping containers carrying goods crisis, experts say.The Mirror reports that some of the nations festive favourites, such as Turkey and sprouts, will be prioritised if there is a shortage.Experts have also warned that other household staples, including flour and pasta, may have be in shorter supply and have to be rationed.An industry source said: “Retailers will be prioritising the essential Christmas gifts.“If there was a big squeeze of drivers and stores couldn’t get all the things they needed they will be rationing lines.
