Police say 'a sudden flurry of snow' led to the multi-vehicle pile up at around 8.10am on Saturday (April 10). Emergency crews are working to help motorists involved in the pile-up, who are thought to have suffered minor injuries, the North West Motorway Police said.
The smash took place on the anticlockwise carriageway at junction 25 A560 Crookilley Way at Brinnington. The road is currently closed and traffic is stationary traffic due to the multi-vehicle accident.
