Rangers. And the move has made the Japanese-based property tycoon the fourth largest shareholder at Ibrox. Gibson has offered the investment as part of a part of a new share issue at the Ibrox club.
Existing shareholders have also increased their holding and taken the figure up to £8 million since the creation of new shares was approved at last year’s AGM.
Gibson was exclusively revealed by earlier this year as the mystery investor who then provided a loan of £1million to Rangers.
And that has been converted into shares along with a further £4million in September to take his stake in the club to just over eight per cent.
