EX-Home Secretary Jacqui Smith says she will be upset if she’s first to leave Strictly. She said: “I would be very gutted if I was the first out.

I’ve lost votes before. The good thing about being a politician is you know what it’s like to be on the wrong end of democracy.” She hinted she might snap back at judges, saying: “I was an MP for 13 years, a minister for ten years, I faced plenty of criticism in my time. "I hope that I will listen and learn but I have also argued for a living.” Jacqui, 57, has taken advice from one-time Cabinet colleague Ed Balls, 53, who took part in 2016.

She added: “He said to me, ‘Actually embrace it, really go for it and try hard’, and I promise you, that’s what I am going to do.” Last week Jacqui showed off.
