A wind storm will batter the UK at the end of the week with gusts of more than 65 mph expected in some areas, the Met Office has said.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for tomorrow (Friday 26 November) and Saturday (27 November) in the North West as Storm Arwen is expected to bring high winds southward from Scotland.
An amber warning is also in place for wind from 3pm on Friday until 9am on Saturday, covering the east coast of Scotland and northern England.
On Friday, gusts will widely reach 55 to 65 mph in many coastal areas - with the highest gusts in coastal parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland, where gusts in excess of 65 mph are expected in some areas.
