Steven Naismith has announced his retirement from football within the next 24 hours. The Hearts captain was blighted by injury as the Jambos surged towards the Championship title last term.
The 34-year-old started his career at Kilmarnock before moves to Rangers, Everton, Norwich then to Tynecastle. He also turned out 51 times for his country and netted 10 times.
Naismith lifted three Scottish title with Rangers, along with a Scottish Cup gong and two League Cup medials. Naismith will now take up the role as Football Development Manager as part of Robbie Neilson's backroom team.
