Steve Coogan has been filming more scenes in Oldham for a new BBC drama about the paedophile Jimmy Savile. The 56-year-old, who has transformed into the late television presenter for the show, was spotted at a shoot on Tatchbury Road, Failsworth.
Known for starring in the comedy Alan Partridge, Coogan sports a blonde wig for the show and the resemblance to Savile is uncanny.
He is portraying the disgraced presenter for upcoming series The Reckoning, which is expected to look at Savile’s rise to fame and the sexual abuse allegations which followed after his death in 2011, at the age of 84.
