Star Trek: Discovery has paused production in Toronto for two weeks due to an off-set exposure to COVID-19, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed with CBS.
The interaction occurred between a Zone A member of the production and a COVID-19 positive individual who was not associated with the series, and took place away from Discovery's Pinewood Studios set.
The Zone A individual has gone into quarantine for fourteen days. CBS declined to comment on the matter. Positive cases of COVID-19 infections have been surging in Canada amid a third wave, though many movies and TV shows have continued active production in Vancouver, Toronto, and other cities, with the implementation of rapid testing.
