Stacey Soloman has revealed the adorable hidden meaning behind her new adopted dog's name.The Loose Women star welcomed the adorable pet to her family after her previous family dog Theo died just two weeks ago.The 32-year-old added the six-month-old cocker spaniel to her home at Pickle Cottage to keep their other dog Peanut company.The mum-of-four shared on her Instagram the reason to why they chose the name Teddy and the hidden tribute to their former pet Theo.Sharing a sweet photo of Teddy sitting down, she penned: "We called him Teddy because Teddy can be short for 'Theodore' so we thought it was a special tribute to Theo."Stacey revealed how she has received many questions about the new dog and added some extra facts about him to her story titled, All about TEDDY.She added: "We didn't pick him out but we said we would take any dog suitable for young children and another dog."We didn't mind what breed, colour, coat anything as long as he would be happy and it was right.

And along came Teddy."The TV star went on to explain why Teddy had been rescued, she wrote: "I have no idea why or how anyone could not want him or he wouldn't be 'good' enough."But apparently he is no where near the size he should be for his breed and that was one of the main reasons why he wasn't kept by the breeder."Stacey visited the pup on Sunday evening with her four children and fiancé Joe Swash before she later welcomed him home the next day.

The TV star has since shared a number of sweet snaps of the adorable pup with the family and his new friend Peanut.She wrote an emotional post in dedication to her late dog, Theo.She said: “Welcome Home Teddy.
