Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly cooled his interest in Inter Milan centre-back Diego Godin ahead of a potential move this summer.
The Portuguese was previously linked with the Uruguayan veteran whilst in charge at Manchester United, but he was not given permission to sign a defender before being sacked.
Mourinho is now looking for reinforcements at the back with Jan Vertonghen out of contract in the summer and Toby Alderweireld 12 months later.
Spurs, along with United, have been touted with interest in Godin, 34, who is seen as a cheap but dependable fix, due to his age.
