BBC Breakfast fans were left cringing at presenter Naga Munchetty's "aggressive" interview technique as the show erupted into a fiery row featuring former England footballer Rio Ferdinand.Naga was presenting alongside her co-host Charlie Stayt on Friday (April 29), joined by sports correspondent Mike Bushell as they chatted to Rio on the famous red sofa.

The conversation soon turned to the recent hate directed at Manchester United players online - including a bomb threat aimed at Harry Maguire.

Rio slammed the state of social media, telling Mike: "That’s disgraceful, that shouldn’t be happening. But we all know social media plays a big role now - there's a lot of positivity but there are also negative elements that come with that.

People shouldn’t have to deal with that."He went on to explain the concept of a new app he's been working with - WeAre8.App users watch a two minute advert each day which its website claims to make money for the user, as well as using carbon offsetting and introducing the option to forward funds to charities.The footie ace explained: "I met a really inspiring lady, the founder of WeAre8, which is an app you can download with no hate on there - which is a real problem."We’re in an economic crisis and a climate crisis, and this helps all those areas.
