Two senior SNP MPs have angrily denied accusations that they were “disrespecting” the military by “drinking heavily” on an Armistice visit to Gibraltar.
Nationalist frontbenchers Drew Hendry MP and David Linden MP have been accused by Tory Defence Secretary Ben Wallace of having “put military personnel in a difficult position” by their behaviour.
The two were part of a group of 15 MPs visiting Gibraltar for a three-day Armistice Day visit this week by an all-party group of MPs.
