snow starts to fall. The Met Office have issued an amber warning for snow until 8am tomorrow around areas of the central belt and further yellow warnings for snow and ice in the country.
Forecasters expect 12 inches to fall in some parts with Lothian, Borders, Strathclyde and parts of south west Scotland will seeing the worst of the conditions before the warning lifts at 8am tomorrow morning.
