Scots munro after a smart watch was used to raise the alarm - via America. A member of the group used the hi-tech gadget's emergency SOS setting which triggered an alarm in Houston, Texas, before authorities were notified in Scotland.
The emergency contact listed in the UK was also alerted by the system, but she blocked the call thinking it was a scam. Emergency services were called at around 4.30pm on Friday, April 30, after the womanwas hurt while skiing off-piste with friends near Coire Raibert on Cairn Gorm.
She was later flown to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment by a HM Coastguard Search and Rescue Helicopter who fought to reach her in wintry conditions.
