The acclaimed show Slave Play is coming back to Broadway! Playwright Jeremy O. Harris announced the news during a party on Sunday night (September 26) to celebrate the show’s historic Tony nominations.
The play received more nominations than any non-musical has ever received. Members of the play’s original Broadway cast will be reprising their roles, including Tony nominees Ato Blankson-Wood, Chalia La Tour, and Annie McNamara, as well as Paul Alexander Nolan and Irene Sofia Lucio.
Joining the cast is Antoinette Crowe-Legacy, who originated the role of Kaneisha during the play’s developmental production at Yale in 2017.
